The Collarenebri race meeting scheduled for this Saturday (7th October) has been abandoned.
Racing NSW Stewards inspected the track and deemed it unsuitable for racing.
Consequently, Racing NSW will conduct a replacement meeting at Gilgandra Racecourse on Saturday.
Those horses nominated for Collarenebri will remain nominated for the Gilgandra meeting.
Nominations for the Gilgandra meeting have been opened up and will close at 3pm today (Thursday 5th October). Horses can be nominated/withdrawn during this period.
Horses that were originally nominated for the Collarenebri meeting will gain preference over those horses nominated between now and 3pm today. Acceptances will be taken at 4pm today.
Gilgandra Jockey Club will be offering free enty, while there will be a barbeque, refreshments, and bookmakers.

Collarenebri to host phantom meeting
While they won’t be racing, Collarenebri Jockey Club will still host a phantom race meeting.
“We want to emphasize that the event will proceed as planned,” a Collarenebri Jockey Club statement read.
“Our dedicated committee has invested significant time and effort into orchestrating an extraordinary race day.
“While the horses won’t participate, everything else will continue as scheduled. Our bar will be fully stocked, the Lions Club is firing up their BBQ, and our light luncheon promises to be a culinary delight.
“Furthermore, we’ll have a variety of market stalls on-site, and we’ve arranged for Brew to serve up some fantastic coffee.”
There will be fashions on the field, and Maddie Warden and her team will be entertaining the crowd.
The courtesy bus will collect people from the Tatts hotel from 12 pm, and in light of the circumstances, the club has reduced the entry fee to $5.
