Dubbo trainer Garry Lunn and talented apprentice Siena Grima combined for a treble of wins at Bathurst on Monday.
Lunn only had three runners, and incredibly, won the final three races on the program.
Kicking things off, Grima rode Sweet As A Kiss ($3.80) in the 1800m Benchmark 66 Handicap, and the 3YO Vino Rosso mare finished strongly to score by more than two lengths.
A race later, Grima rode Fetes Des Meres ($2.35) patiently in the 1100m Benchmark 66 Handicap before the 3YO Brazen Beau filly flew home to win by one and a half lengths.
Rounding out a sensational day at the races for Lunn and Grima, Bonnie And Bruce ($6) took on the 1400m Class One Handicap and after racing on the speed, finished just in time to win by a head.
The treble continues what has been a breakout year for Grima, who’s kicked home 75 winners in 2024/25.
Outriding her country claim and far removed from her debut winner at Deepwater in 2024, Grima is now sitting on 91 career victories and has been riding winners all over the countryside.
Similarly, Lunn’s stable is in red-hot form, and leading into Monday’s meeting at Bathurst, the Dubbo trainer scored a double on his home track on July 10, with Grima winning on both Sweet As A Kiss in the 2200m Benchmark 58 Handicap and Bonnie And Bruce in the 1600m Maiden Handicap.
Lunn then won at Carinda on July 12, with Spradax (Jake Pracey-Holmes) breaking through in the 1400m Maiden Plate.
Remarkably, his stable has won nine of its past 40 races, and 17 in the 2024/25 season.
