One Hard Lady is hard to beat at Gundagai

Donna Scott unleashed exciting youngster One Hard Lady at Albury last month, with the 3YO All Too Hard filly winning by almost five lengths in the $35,000 Country Boosted Maiden Plate (1000m).

Well-supported into $3.30 second favourite on that occasion, Blaike McDougall was in the saddle as the pair quickly found the front and made every post a winner when recording the dominant victory in a time of 57.64 (34.16 for the final 600m) on a soft (5) track.

The Albury galloper heads to Gundagai second-up in the 1000m Class 1 Handicap, and despite drawing a tad awkwardly, One Hard Lady ($2.10) looks the horse to beat and one of the best bets on the program.

McDougall is again in the saddle, and if she shows similar early speed from gate eight, the pair will take a lot of beating.

Gundagai Adelong Racing Clubs hosts a nine-race program on Sunday, April 6, with the $36,000 Gundagai Cup headlining the meeting.

The meeting will be conducted on a good four, with the rail in the true position.

With a race added to the program, the first race now jumps at 12.05 pm.
