Jake Pracey-Holmes has hit the ground running in 2025/26, booting home 23 wins (10.3%), while recently surpassing the 600-win barrier (now on 608).

Having ridden more than 50 winners during each of the past four seasons, the in-form hoop is on target for one of his best-ever seasons in the saddle, and he franked that form with a winning double at Warren on Sunday.

Teaming up with Mack Griffith, Pracey-Holmes won on Unsolved ($5.50) in the 1200m Maiden Plate, with the Mudgee galloper picking up nicely with a half-furlong to go before storming to a one-length victory.

The Pracey-Holmes and Griffith show continued at Warren as impressive sprinter Stratified ($4.80) survived an early speed battle to hold on for a gutsy win in the 1200m Benchmark 82 Sprint.

A double at Warren follows on from good recent outings at Dubbo for Pracey-Holmes, highlighted by a Derby Day double when saluting aboard the Clint Lundholm-trained Brutal Love ($3) in the 1200m Class One Handicap and the Michael Mulholland-trained Final Impact ($2.90) in the 2200m Benchmark 58 Handicap.

Followers of the lovable larrikin will be hoping Pracey-Holmes is on a winner or two at Quirindi on Thursday.

Boasting a full book of rides on the seven-race program, Pracey-Holmes will ride the favourite in the 1000m Maiden Plate.

Riding for Mark Milton, the pair will combine with the well-named Ring My Bell ($2).

Following recent fifth-place finishes at Coonabarabran and Muswellbrook, bookmakers have installed the 3YO Hanseatic filly as the short-priced favourite.

Arguably, Pracey-Holmes’ best chance on the day is for Mack Griffith when riding Sanzeno ($5) in the Werris Creep Cup Benchmark 66 Handicap (1600m).

The 5YO Trapeze Artist gelding has been building nicely this preparation, most recently running second in a 1600m Class Three Handicap at Coonabarabran on October 26.
