Favourite punters will hope they’re on the mark when the Hannah Willis-trained Bee Exact contests the 1200m Benchmark 55 Handicap at Kilcoy on Thursday.
Consistent without triumphing this preparation, the 4YO Wicked Intent gelding won his maiden at Ipswich (1300m) in August of last year.
Two starts back, Bee Exact ran a good fifth at the Gold Coast on April 19, beaten by subsequent Gatton winner Qickwit in an 1100m Benchmark 55 Handicap.
The pair meet again at Kilcoy, with a 2.5kg weight swing in favour of Bee Exact, who also draws softer (gate 7 compared to Qickwit with gate 12)
Last time out, the Toowoomba galloper ran third on his home track on May 17, beaten 4.2 lengths by Little Spark in a 1200m Class One Handicap.
At Kilcoy, Bee Exact has Justin Huxtable in the saddle in what is an open event.
Money has already come for Bee Exact ($2.50) while Qickwit ($3.50) is the clear second pick.
Kilcoy hosts a massive nine-race program, with the first race jumping at 11.30am.
