Narrandera Race Club (NRC) is pleased to announce exciting news ahead of its highly anticipated 2025 racing season.
Following back-to-back bumper seasons in 2023 and 2024, along with plenty of hard work in the background, the NRC can finally announce that their 2025 Community Bank Narrandera Cup will carry a prize money purse of $70,000, which is easily the highest amount of money ever on offer for a race conducted in Narrandera.
“Now one of a handful of races in the Southern Districts with prizemoney of $70,000 or more, the NRC appreciates the opportunity to maintain the ongoing prestige of our Racing NSW-supported event, which also qualifies the winner and runner-up for the $3 million Big Dance and $750,000 Little Dance,” Racing Manager Michael Bailey said.
The Narrandera Cup meeting, scheduled for Sunday, July 13, will feature eight races and offer a record $310,000 prize money.
“Planning is already underway for our big day, which will be complemented by the Narrandera Cup Calcutta, scheduled for Saturday, July 12,” Mr Bailey said.
“We can also announce our supporting race dates ahead of a massive 2025.”
The time-honoured LW Peacock Memorial meeting will kick things off on Saturday, June 14, while the TC Lee Memorial meeting rounds out our season on Saturday, August 16.
“In the meantime, our focus is on helping Ardlethan Picnic Races and their upcoming meeting, scheduled to be conducted at Narrandera Racecourse on Saturday, March 22,” Mr Bailey said.
“Ardlethan Picnic Races will conduct the meeting, and more information will be available shortly on the Ardlethan Picnic Racing socials.”
